so good this song with Drake :)
Bad ass song
Seriously I think drake could've done better I'm one of his biggest fans ever and I think he knows himself that there's more to it...don't be lacking now dude remember u hug and kiss the drumkick nobody can best your ass except me...lol
I love this song...she looks like the girl from the Album cover "Dirty Vegas" but she is much much prettier than her. I think the video is cute & Artistic. You don't see many interracial love videos. I would like to see more interracial love interest like a White guy with a Black lady or etc. A Black guy & White lady is very popular. Its nice to see America moving forward. Who voted for Obama? I did & not bc Im Mixed but he is a great candidate for this country bc he has seen different walks of life & I think he has a great plan :-)
Sick song with a artistic video recorded last year... the white girl is jokes... The Weeknd videos always incorporate the mix tape theme somehow.
May ii Chopped & Screwed it???
I want to fuck the beginning of theis video. ALL DAY 'N NIGHT!
Ima paddle 'n whip a bitch for fucking around,. Erryday Erryday.
Love this song but in my opinion the Video could have been much better. I love the colors and how it ties in with the Weeknd's mixtapes but I would have loved to see some pole dancing and maybe explicit usage of drugs such as Marijuana and Promethazine and Codine. Esp Drake's verse "man if pole dancing is an art, you know how many fuckin artists I know." and also "She in love with my crew. She said make enough so I could try some. I thought taken drugs just aint you? Be you." maybe some Night shots of Toronto when Drake says "Ive been doin this for my hometown, its been going down it aint new." Thats just me though, overral I think the video is decent. Looking forward to the Triliogy.
@Jose M., The Weeknd doesnt seem to be the type to make a generic video like that. That is what is expected in a video like this, but hes stated before that he likes to use symbols to convey his messages. On top of that, he runs the risk of being labeled mainstream with a video like that, especially when hes already fighting that battle. I do understand your point thoughTHe Video was decent, not much replay value but I think he had the right idea. Should've released it back when the song was still pretty popular.
And I do this shit for my hometown, it been going down, it ain't newThat’s that north north, that up topThat OVO and that XO#Toronto
@RellyRellz I don't see why he couldn't incorperate both symbolism and generic aesthetic such as drug usage and explicit sexuality. it would have made the video that much more watchable. Rather than have one scene full of symbolism then the next two or three scenes of him just standing there lip singing his verse, that is just flat out boring I dont care what type of artist you are.And I dont see how those concepts portrays him to be mainstream? It ties in well with the subject matter of the song. The only factors that should portray him as "mainstream" is the lable he signs with as well as the contract.I think what your trying to say is that "don't use that type of imagery because thats what everyone else is doing" well if thats the case he should change the subject of the song because there is only some much symbolism you can convey in a music video if the song is about women, sex, drugs, and how you made it in the rap game. Not wanting to be generic is fine but don't rap/sing about generic subject matter if thats the case because thats sets limits to the visuals. If what your saying is true he should probably study Kanye's videos then.
If he used drug usage and explicit sexuality then it wouldnt be The Weeknd or Drake. I could see Snoop Dogg & Pharell doing something like that. It also defeats the purpose of what Drake said in his verse "I thought taking Drugs just ain't you, be you. Yeah girl just be you." What I like about Drake & Weeknd's music is that different Age groups listen to their music & wherever your maturity level is where you understand. I like that they use symbolism bc it makes the song a lot simple & easy to listen to without physical evidence. In reminder, they are also role models. So it's not too cool to be too explicit but tolerable at most.
im high As fuck right now so i understand the concept this is a beautiful video
@Jose,First of all, the Weeknd isn't a rapper. He's definitely an r&b singer and what makes him special is, that he doesn't do the whole traditional "Trey Songz" thing. You know, like having explicit sexuality in the video. Great artist can take a simple concept and exploit different angles, the Weeknd excels in that. The video may be "boring" to you, but the definition of "selling out" means trying to appeal to a different crowed by diverging from your style. It has nothing to do with what label you sign to. Look at J. Cole, signing to the Roc and he's probably sold out more than anyone with "Workout" and "cant get enough" after making tracks like "lights please" to empower women. We know from the "I know Everything" video that the Weeknd was not about that whole simple concept visuals. He will throw in shit you have to watch the video three times to understand.Coming from Weeknd himself after releasing "Rolling Stone" Video: "I usually don't like to 'spoon feed' my audience because I grew up idolising story tellers who tell stories using symbolism, so it was in my nature to do the same."Referring to @peace, there is indeed a certain level of maturity and cognitive ability to understand those concepts. I guess its a generation gap kinda thing. Either way, I don't think he should change anything, because he doesnt need* to. That's who he is.
yea i like this tune !
Been waiting for this video forever...Love the song but the video was ok...It's mysterious and different but it just represent who the Weeknd is....it would have been better if it was out a while backAnd of course Drizzy...

I see so much of myself in you. It never seems to amazing how influential your work is. The lyrics have meaning beyond whats right on paper. The different emotions that you go through when rehearsing these songs must be euphoric. You have the ability to go back in time and travel through these feels that at the present moment where so vivd in your mind that you mentally captured a story. Its not only creative but original and inventive. What are your aspirations beyond music and rapping? I think your talent is just so raw that i needs to be captured in more that just 5 minute clips. I cant wait untill one day i get to work with you on the big screen as a stunt double LOL. They say we look very much alike . I really do hope you consider it. I cant wait till your next concert. I still regret not paying that stiff $100to that security guard who tried to charge me on NOVEMBER 25TH 2011 , I WALKED ALL THE FROM THE WEST STIDE TO show love for my brother on your Album signing in NYC last year In Harlem Drake Danm lives a trip it has its moments then it has its flips. i stay rollin with the hits , no matter what happens im forever on this shit. Hoping that one day the right one will see my struggle making life a pleasure no matter what i juggle
buy the weeknds album today please
the weekend Im feeln his music wheres the videoRoses
@ RellyRellzI never said Weeknd was a rapper?...Who said anything about selling out? How does one sell out by showing explicit drug usage and naked pole dancing girls if that is exactly whats in the lyrics itself? thats not selling out thats supporting the content...I think your confusing "mainstream" with "selling out" because thats the only thing i was talking about when I brought up the label...And how is J. cole a sell out? Because he made "Can't get enough" and "lights please"??? that doesnt make any sense at all...By that logic your claiming Tupac is a sell out because he made "brendas got a baby and keep ya head up" as well as "I get around"....artisit are people too dawg, they like fooling around with women as much as they like to empower them, just because they have two different songs about two different subjects doesnt mean they are a sell out it means they have diversity, they can rap about different subject matter and still make it sound appealing to the masses, it also means they have creativity as well.dont get me wrong I agree with you that Weeknd excels in symbolism and "the knowing" video is one of my favorite videos of all time and clearly shows his creatity...BUT this "the zone" video IN MY OPINION is nothing as far as creativity goes compared to "the knowing" video. I'm a big fan of the weeknd but I only give credit where credit is due. Like i said before he could have done a much better job with this video.
I played some Weeknd stuff today and people kept asking what is that what is that? they seemed super excited to hear his stuff. This dude is gonna be very successful. Good work :) Love this tune!

His verse that you referenced if about him doing drugs but she asked for some, and he is like he thought she didnt do drugs and he doesnt want her to have to impress him, genius
